food review #7: wheeler's coffee // love lane, penang

 Fantone Blueish

Happy Lunar New Year everyone!!

my family and i were craving for Penang's local food so desperately unfortunately MOST OF THEM ARE CLOSED. i've received a few good reviews about the cafe in penang from my friends, to me they are slightly different than the cafes in KL. I like how they transform a heritage building into a fancy cafe that gives a state of blissfulness. what makes it interesting that most of the Penang cafe has mural art

so we decided to have our lunch at wheeler's coffee ⁺✧.(˃̶ ॣ⌣ ॣ˂̶∗̀)ɞ⁾

can't remember the name of this drink, this soda is perfect to quench you thirst

Aglio Olio

it was a little dry to me, absolutely like how they decorated the spaghetti with garlic bread crumbs, like its so pretty you don't want to ruin the food art

and of course, we ordered their signature dish

above: espresso chicken

yes this is something special in wheeler's coffee and trust me you can't find anything like this in KL. yeap treat the espresso as a sauce!

beneath: chicken mushroom rayout

it is a must to try this dish when you come to wheeler's coffee, yes i like the sauce, it goes well with the mash potatoes

flat white

flat white, cappucino and green tea

where you can see more heritage buildings

if you are wondering what happened to our table, we purposely change our table to upstairs for better lighting. It was the second day of Lunar New Year so they decided to draw a goat year art beside our dessert, isn't it cute?
yes creme brule was good

i wanted to draw something to give a positive feedback, but i was a little shy to ask them whether i can draw or not, this is a really creative idea

front view of the cafe (I find it creative how they hang a real bicycle there)

oh yes you can play darts here too, those who seek for a calm atmosphere, you can come here to grab a bicycle seat, have a cup of good coffee and read a good book!

  with love,
