food review #8: coffee affairs // bishop street, Penang

Fantone Greenish

my sister and I planned to visit Toys Cafe at Bishop Street because we were really attracted by the photos on instagram, however it was closed that day due to CNY break. Fortuitously Coffee Affairs was opened, it was at the same street as Toy's Cafe so we decided to have our tea there.Yes I loved how they recycle things and make them into fancy little decor. The aroma of the coffee beans emanated in the cafe was pleasant. ٩(๑ơలơ)۶♡

they recycled the wine bottles and filled them with water and lemon slices. its free too!

spot me! it was fascinating to watch them preparing our waffles in this cute little kitchen

don't you think they are so adorable? oh yes they are puzzle card

another creative idea to decorate their shop, using test tubes to put coffee beans and label them

I guess this is a light bulb coffee maker?

entrance with really cute signs

there are a few mural art work here

tea tins with adorable packaging

another cute mural art

tea of the day!

their coffee was so-so. We liked the crepe cake.
Then I realized most of the Penang Cafe had a wide selection of crepe cake

something you must try when you are in coffee affairs, the waffle served with green tea ice cream, whipped cream and bananas drizzled with some chocolate syrup. Loved the fluffiness of the waffle!

to be really honest, i like penang's local street food more than cafe's food. when it comes to ambience, penang cafe really beats KL's cafe. the next time when i visit penang, will definitely check out sekeping victoria and cat cafe!

  with love,
